Philips set out to create a premium digital experience for the i9000 Prestige and engaged us to help establish UI design principles and unify the design approach across personal care smart products.

My role
As lead Experience Designer, I helped shape the i9000 interface’s visual identity, iconography, and motion design. I worked closely with the Philips Experience Design team, Play&Co, and engineers to deliver a seamless interactive experience.
Define UI principles, guidelines, and motion design standards
Design and codify a system of icons for clarity, consistency and usability
Collaborated with engineers to implement the UI under tight firmware restrictions, ensuring polish and functionality

Firmware UI design
Designing for embedded firmware UI has its challenges such as hardware constraints, limited screen real estate and reduced interactivity. To overcome these, we streamlined the process through rapid prototyping and rigorous in-situ testing, ensuring the experience remained clear, responsive and accessible.
