Yorick from Y: The Last Man. Mucking around with the way he looks and experimenting with a much cleaner style. A few things bug me about this illustration but I spent way too much time on it, now onto the next one!
PS. the graffiti on the wall says 'GOOD RIDDANCE' a nerdy reference to the book :)
This is a poster for a project that I may or may not be working on in the future and was created using Zbrush and Photoshop. This project had so many of the ingredients that I love, and was inspired by things such as Mass Effect, Katsuhiro Otomo, and the Knights Templar.
Creating the poster was a very fluid process and the approach changed several times. The final artwork unintentionally ended up being stylistically a mix of a CG style (Mass Effect) and elements of manga (Otomo). I want to see his guy animated, I can imagine some very epic action sequences, Final Fantasy style!

What it would look like if these colourful YouTube characters were collectables.

American Gods book cover
Immediately after reading American Gods by Neil Gaiman, I was compelled to draw. It's such a great book with incredibly interesting characters.
To me personally, what made the book truly outstanding was it's characters so I thought it'd be interesting for the cover to reflect this.
I did this project whilst I was just dipping my toe into the world of digital painting so it's a little rough, but I have great memories of creating this.

Semi-Permanent Opening Titles 3
My third opening title for Semi Permanent. This one was all about objects that inspired creativity. Seemingly insignificant childhood objects that has the potential to plant a seed and shape an artist. Each object related to the speaker in one way or another. This was my first go at a completely photography inspired video.

Semi-Permanent Opening Titles 2
Joining forces with Josh Andrews again, we made this opening title for Semi Permanent (Sydney). This time experimenting with a hand held camera to create an ethereal experience.

Semi-Permanent Opening Titles 1
My first collaboration with my friend Josh Andrews, for the design conference 'Semi Permanent'. It was a massively fun experiment, and a clash of styles and methods. We created a character for each speaker coming out of the shadows and racing towards the event. Well that was the very loose premise we started with anyway.

BD4D & Wellcome Collection
This was my submission to an interactive design competition in London run by BD4D and the Wellcome Collection, featuring design legend Hillman Curtis, as guest judge. What a tremendous honour. I ended up coming runner up, so my piece was part of the museum exhibition.
